Participants
A Participant is a contact record for your organization — a person or organization with a name, document/ID number, country, and address. You manage your organization’s participants under the Participants section of the navigation, independently of any one case.
Participants can be grouped into named participant groups, so you can add a whole group to a case at once instead of one by one.
Adding a participant to a case
Section titled “Adding a participant to a case”When you add a participant to a specific case, you choose their type for that case:
- Physical Person
- Association or Organization
- Legal Representative
- System User — an internal Accordia user acting as a participant (for example, a case handler who also needs to sign).
- Other
Every participant on a case needs an address for that case — this is where signing invitations, communications, or certified notices are sent. The same real-world participant can be reused across many cases, but their address and role are set per case.
- A participant can only be added to the same case once.
- Participants can’t be added or removed after a case is closed.
How it fits together
Section titled “How it fits together”Participants are attached to Cases and are who Workflow actions — like a signature request or a Burofax — are actually sent to.
