Templates
Accordia has two separate template systems — easy to mix up, so worth telling apart clearly.
Content templates
Section titled “Content templates”Found under Configuration → Content templates (Organization Admin only). A content template is a reusable piece of content — a name plus an HTML body — that you can reuse as the starting point for something else, such as the body of a communication.
Notification Templates
Section titled “Notification Templates”Found under Configuration → Notification Templates (Organization Admin only). These are richer, purpose-built for the messages Accordia sends out automatically on your organization’s behalf — for example, a signing invitation or the body of a certified communication.
A notification template has:
- A name and description.
- A default subject.
- Content (edited in an HTML editor with a live preview).
- Merge fields — placeholders that get replaced with real data when the message is actually sent, such as the participant’s name, VAT number, email, phone, city, country, street, or zip code, plus any custom field your organization defines.
Using a template
Section titled “Using a template”When sending something for signing or creating a Communication action, you can pick Select a template (optional). Choosing one pre-fills the subject and content; you can then show the available parameters and click one to insert it at the cursor.
How it fits together
Section titled “How it fits together”Notification templates are what get rendered into the actual emails sent by Workflow actions like Communication and Document Sign — see Notifications for what participants receive.
