Frequently Asked Questions

No. Closing a case is one-way. Make sure everything is finished — all documents added and all actions in a final state — before you close it.

A case can only close once every action on it has reached a final state (Completed, Rejected, or Cancelled). If anything is still Pending, Awaiting, or In Progress, close will be blocked until it’s resolved.

What’s the difference between Content templates and Notification Templates?

Section titled “What’s the difference between Content templates and Notification Templates?”

Content templates are a simple reusable name + HTML body. Notification Templates are the richer, purpose-built templates — with a default subject and merge fields like participant name or address — used for the actual emails Accordia sends out (e.g. a signing invitation). See Templates.

There’s no in-app notification inbox. “Notifications” are emails sent to participants when a case action needs their attention. In the app itself you’ll see toast confirmations, status text on the action (e.g. “3 of 5 participants have signed”), and a calendar indicator for today’s events. See Notifications.

What happens if my organization runs out of credits?

Section titled “What happens if my organization runs out of credits?”

You won’t be able to create more of whatever ran out — a new case, a new Quick Action, etc. — until credits are freed up or added. Check Credit Management to see used/available limits for cases, users, video call minutes, communication actions, Document Sign actions, and storage.

What’s the difference between a Case and a Quick Action?

Section titled “What’s the difference between a Case and a Quick Action?”

A Quick Action is a case with exactly one action that runs immediately — useful when you don’t need a full Workflow. It doesn’t use a case credit, and you can’t add more actions to it afterward. A regular case can have multiple actions, optionally driven by a workflow, and does use a case credit. See Quick Actions.

Organization Admins. Regular users can work with Cases and Participants but don’t see Workflows, Templates, or organization settings. See Users & Organizations.
